ANNA TARATIEL erschafft eigene Landschaften, indem sie Bewegungen in Formen sichtbar werden lässt. Ihre persönlichen Erfahrungen entwickeln eine eigene Dynamik, sie werden Energie, Bewegung und manifestieren sich in neuen Formen und Farben. Das Organische wie das Statische, das unser Leben umgibt und bestimmt, fließt in ihre Arbeiten, kommuniziert miteinander, vereinigt sich, arbeitet gegeneinander, wechselt die Fronten, verschwindet und überrascht an völlig unerwarteter Stelle, in unerwarteter Ordnung. Menschen und Gegenstände, Maschinen, Antagonismen und Gemeinsamkeiten setzt sie in Beziehung, drängt sie zu einem Austausch, zu Kommunikation. Ohne Orientierung, losgelöst von bisherigen Bedeutungen, Eigenschaften, Wertungen, Bestimmungen, überlässt ANNA TARATIEL sich und ihre Arbeiten diesen Kräften. Wie nach einem Urknall, nach neuen Regeln und Gesetzen, fügt sich das Organische und das Statische zu neuen Konstellationen zusammen und erschafft neue Welten.ANNA TARATIEL reist durch die inkohärente Welt von Labyrinthen, von Pfaden und schwarzen Löchern, um die reale Existenz der Ausdehnung, des Horizonts und der Unendlichkeit aufzuzeigen. Die Grenzen, denen wir uns unterwerfen, werden nur von unserem Geist geschaffen, um unsere Zweifel und Ängste zu füttern.ANNA TARATIEL creates her own landscapes by transforming movements into visible forms. Photographer Mikel Falcon from Barcelona! We came across Mikel’s stream after we’ve been trying to document some of Barcelona’s finest walls ourselves and we thought we had done quite a good job, but Mikel showed us that we only captured the tip of the iceberg: Mikel has two flickr accounts with a total of more than 42.000(!!) images of graffiti in and around Barcelona. This guy is a freaking legend and oh so nescesary in this world of graffiti. He’s been discribed as the Google of graffiti in Barcelona and he’s out on the streets every day to take more pictures. We get lost in his photostream on a regular basis and are always curious what is coming up there tomorrow. For us, Mikel Falcon is one of the great!
